Creating a Sense of Home
Moving into a children’s home can be a significant experience for a young person. There may be many new people, routines and surroundings to become familiar with. That is why we place great importance on helping each young person settle in at their own pace.
Our team aims to create a calm and welcoming atmosphere where young people are encouraged to make their space feel personal and comfortable. We want them to know that this is somewhere they can relax, enjoy themselves and feel at home.
From everyday routines and shared meals to conversations, activities and celebrations, we create opportunities for young people to feel included and connected.
Feeling Heard and Understood

We celebrate the small moments as well as the big milestones — from trying something new to achieving a personal goal.
Supporting Emotional Wellbeing
Feeling safe and understood can provide an important foundation for emotional wellbeing.
Our home aims to provide an environment where young people know that they can talk to trusted adults when they need support. We encourage healthy communication, positive relationships and activities that promote confidence, relaxation and enjoyment.
We also understand that there may be difficult days. Young people do not need to pretend that everything is fine. Our role is to provide patience, reassurance and appropriate support when they are facing challenges.
